Director of First Impressions

Responsible for handling front office reception and administration duties, including greeting guests and offering them a beverage, answering phones, handling company inquiries, and sorting and distributing mail. May also schedule meetings and travel for executives.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently help customers (internal and external) with the highest level of service
  • Perform basic bookkeeping, filing, and clerical duties.
  • Answers incoming telephone calls, determines purpose of calls, and forward calls to appropriate personnel or department.
  • To service all client inquiries in a prompt and effective fashion
  • Remain abreast on all product knowledge, promotions, and industry trends
  • Takes payments for services and product.
  • The ability to multi task and remain a director of first impressions whilst in a high volume, fast paced environment
  • Prepare correspondence and documents as necessary

Qualifications:

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate fluently in English (written and verbal)
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures
  • Excellent customer service skills with the desire to exceed expectations

  • Automotive retail experience an asset but not required

Sales and Lease Consultant

The Sales & Lease Consultant is responsible for promoting and ensuring high customer satisfaction with every client, as well as generating sales department revenue through the sale of vehicles and promotion of business products.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To promote and complete the sale of vehicles in an appropriate, professional and ethical manner with the highest regard to exemplary customer service
  • Articulate vehicle selection, attributes, model options, features, purchase and finance options, and dealership policies/services
  • Attempt in achieving sales targets to the best of your ability to exceed individual and departmental sales targets
  • Execute all Customer Service and Sales training as provided by the Sales Management Team, manufacturer and TAG University; i.e. rapport building techniques, follow-ups on unsold, sold and services guests, phone skills training, scheduling appointments etc.
  • Utilize CRM software to its fullest capabilities and as directed by management
  • Remain abreast on available inventory to optimize customer choice and inventory turn around
  • Display and maintain high customer satisfaction ratings
  • Address all customer issues and escalations in a timely and efficient manner, if unable to resolve ensure your Sales Management Team is made aware immediately
  • Demonstrate behaviours consistent with the company’s expectations as it pertains to interactions wit customers, colleagues and vendors
  • Create sales appointments by calling supplied call logs
  • Develop a database of clientele by resourcing various network channels
  • Complete all sales documentation in a comprehensive and accurate manner
  • To service all allocated sales inquiries in a prompt and effective fashion
  • Remain educated on all product knowledge, finance options, promotions, value-add products/services, servicing plans, and industry trends
  • Mandatory completion of walk around, road test and follow up process as outlined by management

Qualifications:

  • Valid VSA license
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in an automotive sales role
  • A proven track record of success in a Sales and/or business development role
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills (Fluency in English mandatory)
  • Ability to effectively respond to the needs of a diverse client base
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
  • The ability to operate manual and automatic transmissions

Licensed Technician

The Technician contributes to the operational efficiency of the shop by maintaining, repairing and diagnosing vehicles in accordance to Trotman Automotive Group and manufacturer guidelines, ensuring that our customer visits meet and exceed expectations.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Comply with Trotman Automotive Group and manufacturer policies, along with local, provincial andfederal laws including those governing the rules of the road, and health and safety
  • Diagnose, repair and perform maintenance requirements in accordance to manufacturer guidelines
  • Perform duties as outlined on repair orders and discuss status with service advisors
  • Perform road tests on all vehicles in which repairs, diagnostics and maintenance has been performed
  • Recording all pertinent information clearly on completed repair order
  • Ensure internal/external customer vehicles are protected by using proper covers, such as seat, floor and fender covers
  • Maintain vehicle records by documenting service, repairs, vehicle status and future repair requirements into DMS system
  • Make use of all resources available including team leaders, when required
  • Keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies, performing preventative maintenance and notifying Service Management of equipment condition
  • Remain abreast on product knowledge, manufacturer updates, bulletins and recalls, and technical knowledge
  • Achieving and maintaining CSI and fixed right the first time scores above regional/target averages
  • Diagnose and report existing conditions and additional repairs to the appropriate parties
  • Communicate effectively with Service and Parts staff
  • Road test vehicle(s) as required to identify concerns and ensure quality control
  • Assist in housekeeping of the shop and service department
  • Assist colleagues with maintenance repairs
  • Provide written, prioritized quotes for necessary recommendations to service repair
  • Additional duties as outlined by management

Qualifications:

  • Desire to exceed customer expectations through a “Fix it right the first time” attitude
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
  • Ability to effectively respond to and meet the needs of a diverse client base
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure with simultaneous deadlines

Diesel Technician position

Lot Attendant

As a member of the Lot team, you may be scheduled as a New Vehicle Lot Attendant, Pre-Owned Vehicle Lot Attendant or a Runner on any given day.

Working under the direction of the Sales Manager and Lot Manager, the Lot team will direct the flow of traffic on our dealership’s parking lots, detail cars for customer deliveries, check-in new vehicles from carriers, clean new vehicle inventory and will provide general lot supervision throughout the normal course of business.

Service Attendant

Working under the direction of the Service Manager and Lot Quality Control Supervisor, the Wash Attendant will direct the flow of traffic on our dealership’s parking lots, detail cars for customer deliveries and service visits, check-in new vehicles from carriers, and will provide general lot and detail services throughout the normal course of business.
